This online directory contains information on services to older people provided by organisations and charities within the Catholic community. It can be used to search for residential and nursing care homes as well as outreach and befriending services in dioceses across England and Wales. The is directory was developed as part of a wider CSAN research and mapping project on older people's services provided by the Catholic community. For more information on the project, click here.
How to use the online directory
The directory is easy to use. Users can select to view information by diocese (location of services by diocese), type of service (such as residential and nursing care), care category (such as dementia care or female-only care) and keywords. Please note that search results will vary according to the criteria used and generally more information will be obtained by using fewer search criteria.
After selecting the criteria using the drop-down boxes, click on 'Search'. Results showing a short description of services provided by organisations will appear in list form. Click on the name of the organisation to access more information on the particular service(s) the organisation provides. Click 'Back' to return to other listed results or to search again for services.
