Older People Forum
Purpose
At the request of member organisations, CSAN convenes a forum of agencies providing a range of care services for older people facilitating mutual support, sharing of best practice and development of new services. This forum is open to all CSAN members managing services for the care of older people. This forum also holds bi-annual conferences to disseminate best practice, and focus on the importance of supporting older people’s spiritual needs within the range of services offered. These conferences are open to both those working in organisations and individuals involved in care of older people.
CSAN has also commissioned research on the extent of older people's services delivered by the Catholic community in England and Wales. A final report and a directory of services for older people has been published in summer 2009.
