About us

Who are our members?

CSAN’s members are service providing organisations with an ethos based on Catholic social teaching. These include Catholic Diocesan care agencies and other regional and national charities as well as smaller local charities working within the UK. Our members are providers of a huge variety of professional care and support services to people with all faiths and none. The work they undertake supports the most marginalised and vulnerable in our society today. Read about a project run by a CSAN member.

In order to best facilitate networking between Catholic care charities CSAN divides its membership organisations into two main categories; large and small. This division forms the basis of the two main forums within which members meet:

1. Large Organisations Directors Forum: All member organisations have a turnover of over £250,000 and has four meetings per year.

2. Small Organisations Directors Forum: All member organisations have a turnover under £250,000 and less than 5 paid staff. The Forum is divided into Archdioceses and has three meetings a year.

This division enables charities of a similar size and operational structure to share experience that is relevant to them.
